Every day young people look for a glimpse of their future. What they are looking for is hope. They may not know that they need it yet, but they do.
Because hope is real. In our time of uncertainty, hope is real. In the face of explosive automation, hope is real. At a time where some can’t escape poverty while others earn more in one day than most do in a lifetime, hope is real. When climate breakdown threatens our very existence, hope is real.
Hope is what gives us the courage to take on our greatest challenges, bridge divides, and move forward together. We live in cynical times but hope is not up for debate.
There is such a thing as false science.
There is such a thing as false promises.
There is such a thing as false comfort.
But there is no such thing as false hope.
There is only hope.
